REQUIREMENT:
Black mortar colour for all external brickwork mortar and for internal feature walls.PRODUCT TO USE:
Cementaid MORTABLACKHOW TO SPECIFY:
All mortar (state areas) shall be made black coloured by the addition of Cementaid MORTABLACK at a rate of not less than 2 litres for each 40Kg bag of cement used in the mix. No lime shall be used in coloured mortar.
EFFECTS:
Produces a dense, black mortar for masonry, renders, toppings, etc. MORTABLACK contains ingredients which greatly reduce efflorescence on bricks and mortar.
As with all mortar colours the mortar must be struck back from the brick face or rodded hard to bring cement to surface.
WHERE RECOMMENDED:
All masonry construction where a coloured mortar effect is desired. MORTABLACK is suitable for colouring screeds, renders, toppings and concrete at the above dose rate.

Not to be used as a black damp course (See Cementaid CALBLACK). When exposed to UV light & weathering (e.g. exterior), the coloured effect produced by Cementaid MORTARBLACK is subject to fading over time. To minimise UV exposure, coloured mortars should be struck back from the brick surface and/or rodded hard to bring cement to the surface.
