NON-RETARDING
SUPERPLASTICISER

REQUIREMENT:

High early and ultimate strength concrete without retardation, excessive slump loss or the use of deleterious materials such as chlorides or triethanolamine to achieve early strengths.

PRODUCT TO USE:

Cementaid SUPERPLASTET ‘F’

HOW TO SPECIFY:

‘All concrete (specify areas) shall contain Cementaid SUPERLASTET F in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. If concrete is site mixed, batch numbers of SUPERPLASTET F containers shall be recorded. Ready Mixed dockets shall record “SUPERPLASTET F” on all dockets”.

EFFECTS:

Highly workable / flowable / pumpable concrete.
Greatly increased early and ultimate strengths.
Increase by up to 80% in 24 hours and 40% in 28 days.
Reduces water requirements by up to 30%, and therefore reduces shrinkage cracking.
Faster turnover of precast elements and reduced heating costs.
More rapid and economical construction, as increased workability reduces placing time, labour and equipment costs.

WHERE RECOMMENDED:

Precast concrete for rapid mould turnover. Early stripping / loading of in-situ concrete.
All site-mixed concrete.
On-site addition to premixed concrete, to achieve and/or maintain pumpable and flowing consistency.
Specialised toppings.

DOSAGE:

Superplasticising: Dose at 500 -700ml per 100kg cement, to produce flowing concrete from normal slump concrete.

High Range Water Reduction: Dose at 800-1,500ml per 100kg cement. Use higher dose rates at higher ambient temperatures.

Note: Trial mixes should be conducted to optimise dosage rate & slump.
Dose rates exceeding 1,500ml/100Kg cement may incur slight retardation.
