Architect: Plus Architecture
Contractor: Delta Group
Structural engineer: Robert Bird Group
Products Used: Everdure Caltite
Type: Residential
Where Used:

A 2 level basement, constructed off the busy Bay Street in Port Melbourne. The site requires the excavation of 30,000m3 of bulk excavation, installation of 238 temporary ground anchors, construction of two lift cores and 50 pad footings. The site is also below the water table and does require the installation and maintenance of de-watering of the site. 173m3 concrete treated with Everdure Caltite was used. This allowed a permanently inherently dry basement at lower cost than conventional membrane methods.
