The proximity of the basement substructure to adjacent electrical railway and associated power lines meant that the concrete used in the basement structure was required to be protected against stray current corrosion. “Everdure CALTITE” concrete has a proven track-record of increasing electrical resistivity of concrete by up to more then 20 times and was specified by Engineering Consultants Enstruct, to ensure design-life waterproofing and durability performance of the basement substructure. The volume of EDC used was approx. 900 cubic metres. Cementaid “3CC” HPI was included for waterproofing and durability of the concrete roof slab. The approx. volume of 3CC was 600 cubic metres.
