A stunning new office tower among the most coveted addresses in the city: the Shanghai Commercial Bank Tower at 12 Queen’s Road Central, lies at the centre of the city’s transportation network. The tower reflects a refined model of modern concepts of office space with banking hall and retail shops. Aiming to achieve the BEAM Plus Gold Certificate after completion, the architects have spared no effort to lessen the environmental impact of the tower with the latest green practices and cutting edge technologies. For the basement used for retail and treasury, Cementaid’s Everdure Caltite System was chosen as the waterproofing solution for the concrete structure of approx. 7,507 sq.ft. gross to deliver the permanently DRY, design-life maintenance-free performance for added peace of mind for SCB and their tenants.
