St. Paul's Hospital

, , ,

Before 2007 St. Paul’s Hospital comprises an old block built in 1917, and a main block with 358 beds. As part of the St. Paul’s Convent compound, the hospital shares a tranquil site in the center of Hong Kong with the convent, two schools, a kindergarten and a historical chapel. The redevelopment started in 2007 demolished two old blocks. A new building and ancillary tower were built to accommodate 500 beds, general and specialist outpatient departments, a day surgery centre, operating theatres, radiology centre and various clinical services, together with a new basement to house ancillary and parking facilities. Everdure Caltite system has been specified by the architect for reliable waterproofing in the 3 level basement structure of Block A for phase 1 of the redevelopment
