Suntec City designers and owners and contractors all decided to eliminate the old fashioned and unreliable membranes and instead, successfully selected and used Cementaid’s Everdure Caltite System in the concrete. This decision allowed the project to be easily completed in rapid time, without the otherwise usual delays in installing membranes. Suntec City basically divided into 4 phases during construction time. a. Ph 1 – The Diaphragm Wall is 800mm thick and approx. extending to 20m below ground. b. Ph 2 – Area approx. 90,000m2 with 2 levels basement. c. Ph 3B & 4 – Consists of • 6 level high Convention Centre. • 1 no. of 18 stys office tower. • 4 nos. of 44stys office tower. • 4 level retail complex with giant water fountain. • Approx. 50m long pedestrian underpass to link up Marina Square. • Approx. 30m long pedestrian underpass to link up Millennium. • 1 Olympic size suspended swimming pool.
